Our Ambassador

Meet our 2025 Ambassador!

Remi Dean

PEI’s 2025 Easter Seals Ambassador

Remi is eight years old and in third grade at Ellerslie Elementary and lives in Freeland. Joining her on her ambassador journey are her parents Danielle and Norman and her little brother Sully and her little sister Lottie.

Outside of school, Remi enjoys ballet, going to Whispering Hope Farm, doing art, and hanging out with her friends.

She was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy as she was born a ‘premmie’ baby,  weighing only three pounds, which caused her brain to have some problems. Her condition makes her muscles not work properly and Remi  hopes by sharing she can help more people become aware of cerebral palsy, and know  the impact.

Remi wears leg braces to help her walk, as her muscles don’t grow with her bones which makes walking and running more difficult

Remi goes off-Island to the IWK for care such as physio and stretches to help her and even had botox injections, and also a cast for a few weeks to help stretch her leg muscles.

Remi says thank you to everyone for raising funds for Easter Seals PEI as it helps many  Islanders living with disabilites.

Remi says thanks to everyone for supporting her and helping all Islanders who have challenges in life. She is very excited about the next few months and always remember that you can do hard things!

Thank you to Dow’s Fashions and Heckbert’s Photography for their support providing our Ambassador’s blazer and official photo.

Remi’s motto:

“And always remember that you can do hard things.
