70th Anniversary

2026 is a milestone year for Easter Seals PEI

Easter Seals PEI celebrates its 70th Anniversary

CharlottetownAt a recent Rotary Club of Charlottetown meeting, Easter Seals PEI Chair Della Parker announced ESPEI is celebrating its 70th birthday with activities taking place all year-long, including a goal to raise an additional $70,000.

“It was in February 1956 that the Rotary Club of Charlottetown agreed by unanimous vote to adopt Easter Seals PEI as the program to continue its support of children with disabilities,” says Parker.

“70 years later, Easter Seals PEI is still a major project of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown and now in partnership with the Rotary Club of Montague and Eastern PEI and the Rotary Club of Summerside, with its mission expanded to enhance the quality of life, self-esteem, and self-determination of Islanders with disabilities,” adds Parker.
