Tim Hortons 2025 Easter Seals PEI Ambassador School Tour Raises $61,125
Following its annual tour of PEI schools over six days, the Tim Hortons 2025 Easter Seals PEI Ambassador School Tour was a success, raising a total of $61,125 on behalf of the Island charity. This amount is $13,000 higher than last year. Easter Seals PEI Executive Director Helen Chapman says students, teachers and support staff showcased their kindness and generosity at the 62 schools the tour visited throughout the province.

“We are so proud of Remi,” says Chapman. “Not only did she increase awareness about living with a disability, she inspired all Islanders, young and old. Her Ellerslie Elementary School, with its 201 students, raised approximately $6,000, an amount that was beyond our expectations.”

Janice Blacquiere, Tim Hortons Easter Seals School Tour Coordinator for the past 34 years, says Remi’s big smile made an impact in every school. “We thank Remi and her wonderful family for sharing their experiences, ” says Blacquiere. “We are grateful to them for increasing awareness about Cerebral Palsy with her motto: ‘Always remember you can do hard things.’

The Tour has been an Island tradition for 44 years, thanks to major sponsor Tim Hortons, along with additional sponsors PEI Coach Atlantic/Maritime Bus and local radio stations Ocean100 and Hot 105.5. Remi will continue in her role for the rest of this year, attending community awareness and fundraising events. Funds raised during the 2025 Campaign will be disbursed to various registered charities on PEI through the organization’s annual provincial grant program, which will reopen its application process in the coming months.
Some Island schools have made playground equipment requests, and the additional funds can help meet those needs.
